Steven M. Mings, MD

Dr. Steven Mings is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and minor in Physics. He completed his medical school training at the University of Washington School of Medicine with honors. He completed his medical internship through the University of Washington and a dermatology residency at the State University of New York (SUNY) in Buffalo. He enjoys teaching and currently holds teaching appointments through the Universities of Washington and Utah. Dr. Mings is currently serving as the Department Chair of Dermatology Services at the Boise VA Medical Center. He has also served in multiple leadership positions for various dermatology organizations over the years.

Michael J. Lane, PA-C

Michael Lane graduated with honors from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. He is a member of the AAPA, Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants, Intermountain Dermatology Society, and the Idaho Medical Association. He has been practicing dermatology for over 20 years. In his spare time, Mike enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.

Jaclyn Mentzer, MPAS, PA-C

Jaclyn Mentzer graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor in Microbiology and received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Idaho State University. She started working at Gem State Dermatology in 2008 where she was directly trained by Dr. Mings. She is a Boise native and enjoys the outdoors and traveling. When not working you may find her snowboarding, hiking, or mountain biking.

Deedra Meyers, MSPAS, PA-C

Deedra Meyers graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor in Health & Exercise Science. She received her Masters of Health Science and Physician Assistant Degree from the University of South Alabama. She graduated in 2009 and has been practicing Dermatology ever since in various areas of the country while her husband served in the U.S. Air Force. They are happy to call Boise home and are enjoying raising their 2 sons and making the most out of the outdoor activities Idaho provides.

Katie West, MPAS, PA-C

Katie West graduated from Westmont College with a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Idaho State University. Directly trained by Dr. Mings, Katie is excited to join the team in providing quality care to all our patients. In addition to GSD, Katie works at Saltzer Urgent Care and is a guest lecturer with ISU PA program. As a Boise native, she loves to run, backcountry ski, and mountain bike with her family and friends as often as she can.

Amanda Fair

Amanda Fair is an Esthetician licensed by the State of Idaho and is nationally certified in Laser Technology. Throughout the years she has had the opportunity to learn about a variety of skincare products and procedures and how their specialized ingredients and systems interact with varying skin types. She has worked with many skin care lines. She creates custom treatment plans for her clients by utilizing esthetic services and products including: microneedling, chemical peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, custom facials, and laser treatments. She loves enhancing and making each client feel beautiful in their own skin. Outside of the office she enjoys hiking in the foothills, golfing, concerts and traveling.
